So I have full faith in my government? Hell no. But the way the government works was set up amazingly well, and it made a takeover by one person practically impossible. I also have faith in the American people. I don't see the government cracking down on liberties, but I would be more than willing to read UNBIASED articles about what is going on in regards to a crackdown on liberties. If you can provide some specific examples of a loss of liberties, let me know.

The UN Resolution that authorized force (UN Resolution 678) ONLY authorized member nations to enforce UN Resolution 660... which DID NOT authorize the neutralization of the Iraqi Government.
I'm not sure if you can point the failure of the UN to act then on a conspiracy on the part of the US ( this is what it sounded like you were implying... correct me if I am wrong ). The tone at the UN in regards to the Iraqi regime was the same then as now.
