croxis, sorry to hear that. I'm praying that your worst fears won't be realized and that everything will be fine.

You'll have alot of people here thinking about you. Feel free to rant or whatever you need.

We're a community, and communities support each other.

(in a broad Aussie accent... " Thats not a rant... THIS is a rant.." )

first thing you should do is stop focusing on YOU doofus...

    support her.

even if whatever it is turns out to be benign,

    shave your head...

if shes going in for radiotherapy/surgery etc in future... she'll most probably have no hair in patches, or maybe the whole lot.

tell her you dont want her starting any fashion trends without you.

    A) It shows youre 100% behind her and the balls and conviction to be her friend in a tough spot, regardless of if she actually does have cancer.

    B) To alot of girls, especially young ones, physical losses, as superficial as hair, or as major as a breast or a limb... is prolly as devastating as the actual illness. You have to prove to her she's still her, without her hair, or whatever she may lose... if at all.

thats perhaps all a little farsighted on a rather pessimistic path but 'be prepared for the worst and hope for the best'.

    in essence...

Quit whining twitface and go look after your friend...:D

Relax. Chances are it will either be:
    1) Nothing
    or
    2) Benign.

If its not, support and prayer are the only things that you can provide. Let us know.

She is fainting, sick, dizzy, unable to eat, no engery, body parts going numb.

    That isn't benign

Im sorry Croxis, dont know if it means much to you, but I will be praying for your friend hard.

She's got trouble right now, and the best way for you to help her fight it is to give her as much love as you can, and get everybody else to do the same. If you give her something to fight for, miracles can happen.

ouch...I can sympathize....my Grandpa has lung cancer, along with various other problems. No idea how long he'll survive.

I've little to offer, just my thoughts and prayers.

    :(

Thanks.. its just the waiting that is the hard part. The test results wont be back until monday.

Yes, I have just been through my grandfathers death as well as my uncles- both to cancer. You are all in my prayers.

    sup Croxis ??

update us man... how's she doing ?

    you Cojacked yet ? :)

and to counteract a little of the possibly flawed medical opinion....

Malignant tumours are rampant tumours, ones which throw off 'seed' cells and spread invasively and often rapidly.

Benign tumours just grow in the one spot and hopefully dont do much damage, the difficulty with a brain tumour is that a skull is pretty much like a laptop, there isn't much room inside for the components. Even a benign tumour can displace or put pressure on parts of our brain and just basically screw it up by squishing/strangling the function and blood supply to bits of the brain you actually want.

My grandfather died from complications arising from a tumour sited in the mengial membranes, (the bag the brain floats in), the actual membrane had a benign tumour growing within it. It pressurised the meningial fluid and also put direct physical pressure on the base of his brain and it eventually killed him. It was sited in an inoperable position ans wasnt the type of tumour that would respond to chemo, or radiation therapy.

You just don't know. Sometimes they are easy to fix, others you cant do diddly about. In essence, wait for the results.

Well, her brain is normal (relativly speaking that is, hehehe). But now no one has any idea what is wrong with her. So they are going to treat her for an infection and see if she gets better.

Good to hear there was no tumor at least.
  • RhettRhett (Not even a monkey)
Yes, so there was no reason to panic ;) Glad to here everything should turn out well!
