Club Drop
A new Club begins on April 1, 2003. The new service is a monthly subscription that gives zero click access to names returning to the available pool from the Redemption Grace Period. The subscription is $99 per month. This fee is exclusive of the domain registration cost. The fee is non-refundable and we do not guarantee results.
To become a member for April, you must indicate your interest by Friday March 13.
Membership
Club Drop is designed to take advantage of domains that expire and are returned to the available pool. Here's how it works. You input a list of names on the members only Club Drop page at www.enom.com. You can input the list up to 1 hour before the drop time. eNom then attempts to register these names on your behalf using our finely tuned registry connections, connections from other registrars, high speed servers, and exclusive Club Drop software.

I wouldnt have too many qualms about ripping them off if they're not legitimately using them.
for any other site, regularly used and frequented... yeah I agree this kind of shit sucks... but.. if you have your proverbial shite together and you heed the warnings from your provider then you shouldnt fall victim to arseholes like this
be wary of the date mentioned though Ahash... :)
someone may just be yankin ya chain
Worf
Calm down! You received that e-mail because your domain b5-blender.com was registered through Enom, our domain registration company.
You have a "reseller" account which means you can register as many domains as you like for $8.00. I set that up for you. That's the only reason you got it.
So, it's not spam. BTW, that service does work as I know a few people who use it.

Yeah, probably the guy in China who stole KingstonFX.com used it too..
Well, I think it's expensive for what it is, but if you've got the money to burn and you REALLY want a domain, then it's the way to go.
I mean, b5blender (My old domain) was a porn site shortly after it went up....

That was amazing (and ashame) how fast they took over b5blender.com (unoccupied again). There are a few free web space providers out there that do something similar that folks should be aware of: If your site gets popular enough they pull it and redirect your traffic to porn - that's how they make their money… …{shakes head}
Speaking of spam - just as I was reading this thread a piece of fax spam came in… I usually shut down the machine when I'm not expecting a fax just for that reason - but this is becoming a real pain - my state has a law where I can sue in small claims court - but seriously who's got the time for that even if it is $500.00.
