Want a car: 280Z?
Rhett
(Not even a monkey)
in Zocalo v2.0
I am trying to sell a car for my dad, a two door 280Z coup from 1978. Interior needs redoing, but it runs fine. I will post pictures, milage, ect later on this week. However, I was wondering if any of you would be interesting in purchasing it, or if you have a suggestion for a starting price on EBay. I just figured I would let you all know before I try ebay (on the off chance any of you are interested). You would have to pick it up from CA. As I said, more info will come later this week. Just wanted to get your minds thinking. :)

the 280Z is a fine car. :)
I'd be interested if I had the cash to buy one. I need a car, but have to work around the demands of parental units, as well as the ability of cash to get lost in college.
I thought you had a volvo, Sanfam?
He needs a car that CURRENTLY runs ;)

Because sanfam is a car guy, he likes "fixer uppers" problem is the time and money to do the fixing up! ;)
a) have to figure out a way to ship it AND pay for it to be shipped
OR
b) come to California and pick it up.
Pictures are coming tonight... :)
Why do you live in CA? How am I suposed to get it from there??
Also the Gauges are not in metric, So you would have problems driving it in Finland
And what's thus assumption about my car not running? :P
It runs damn well!
As well as an inline 5 can run.
Actually, it really isn't a bad car. Ask Stacman! He's been around in it a few times. Sure isn't a beamer or a benz, but it runs fine for its mileage (152k, unknown maintainance, probably none for nearly 30k).
Came with its fare share of dents and missing parts. As of yesterday, another was gained, but it's already on damaged panels, so is not of much concern. Although I am bummed the turn signal/parking light has completely fallen apart now. heh. Means I'll have to make/buy a replacement.
Soon, it'll be a kickin' hybrid. 1993 chassis, 1995 rear end, and a few other nifty 1995 parts.
It's a nifty toy, but will one day be replaced by either a Lincoln or a newer (turbo, at the very least) Volvo.
Right now, we have two cars. A 2002 Ford Taurus, and the 1993 Volvo 850. Both of these cars are needed where they are. Thus, another car is needed for college.
I'm sorry we couldn't help with a price, but hey. :P
