Not true, its only a violation if you a: publish it without giving credit, or b: profit from it.

Ah, so it's illegal to quote someone without attributing it?
When people can get in legal trouble for quoting things on television, that's when I'll be proven that the U.S. of A. has gone completely sue-happy (at the moment, it's only mainly sue-happy).

It's not like he was being interviewed on a talk show and made a quotation, he was reading what a writer had written for him to say, which is a completely different case.
That is why it's at least unethical, and JMS would have a pretty good case if he wanted to sue the WWE over it.
