HDTV + Progressive Scan DVD = YUM

I finally got a HDTV. I was looking at 2 models, the Sony KP-WS500 46 inch Rear Projection, and the Samsung TXM-3097WHF 30 inch Tube.
I went with the Samsung, it really came down to the fact that the lighting in my livingroom, and the angle that i'd be watching from, really were not good for a projection unit. (that and the fact that the tube from samsung was almost $900 cheaper)
It was a trade off, picture quality from any angle/ligting for features. The Sony had a DVI input, and did 720i/720P upconverting. which the samsung doesn't do, so i can only watch DVD's in 420p with the progressive scan DVD player, but even that resolution rocks. the B5 dvd's look great!
If you have the cash, i reccomend going for a tube or plasma unit that has DVI and can do upconverting, but if you want a nice high definition widescreen unit and are on a budget, the samsung is nice, the TXM-3097WHF is a nice TV for the money (i paid $999.95 for it) or if you want a little bigger, the TXM-3298 32 inch model is nice.
