SpiritOne- calm down man. No one is insulting you or your company. We are just pointing out a fact: if they don't oversell they go bankrupt. We are not saying that you should buy with RadiusCo. Just letting you know what is going one. So calm down and enjoy the forums... :) No one else has started cussing or getting mad.
Thanks for explaining that for me, at first I was a little embarassed for this was getting beyond my understanding but you helped clear it up for me thanks guys :)

He doesn't realize he's working for us! You know how those crazed fanatic's are! ;)
Although in all seriousness, RadiusCo has been the best of *any* webhost i've ever used. And yes, the overselling is clear in many cases. In fact, Drazi Guy was burned (possibly on more than one occasion) in the past by things of that nature.
I stick with RadiusCo because *I* believe it's both a great deal and a reliable place to host the site. I don't like the possibility of falling victim to bankruptcy, or excess bandwidth use, or anything of the sort.
RadiusCo has also always been helpful. Any problems I've had have been solved quickly, and if not, I've been given credit to pay for the interruption in service. True, they're not a huge corporation, but they're not trying to be.
And Spirit, lay off the angry ranting. If I didn't know better, I'd think you were on a mission against them. Please read what you've written and think about it.
yes. I over-reacted.
why? If there is one thing I cant stand, its when someone doesnt listen to me.
First off. Click here, if the url works you will see the info page for the services I am recieving at infinology. I signed up for a year, so I got the 10 bucks a month deal.
If you look, it is also a special. It may, or may not be expired by the time you read it. Click here to see all of this months specials.
I signed up for this service just a short while ago. You can visit my site in progress. AQMilitis.com is still under construction, but the first page is up. Its slow going because its been a few years since Ive actually made a webpage, and Ive spent most of my time working on getting ikonboard up and running. Not to mention I just dont have a lot of time during the day to commit to making a website. So the only thing you will see is a couple of pics and short explanation of what AQM is. By the end of the month, I expect to have a few more pages, and our private forums up and running.
For the record, I contacted infinology. They are not overselling their bandwidth. They are able to offer a service that low for two reasons.
1. It was a sale to attract more customers
2. They deal in much more high volume hosting than your average hosting service. Meaning they make more money on the high end hosting plans.
To those of you that use, or work at Radius. I apologize for getting pissy. But seriously, stop for a minute to listen, and dont just jump to the conclusion that they are overselling, or not delivering on the product. Im sure you offer a very good service. Afterall, firstones is up and running, and it was only a database problem that had the forums down to begin with. But dont be so quick to say everything else is substandard.
Random ChaosActually Carefully-selected Order in disguise
My guess of that plan:
They offer no guarentee that they will keep that extremely low pricing after the 12 month period. I suspect in 12 months you will be paying the prices on the plan I linked to...which is 8 times the price of that plan...
Im locked in to that price as long as I dont cancel.

Not true. The server itself died. It was hosted through a company other then RadiusCo. When it died, the forums were moved to the same server as the rest of the site. The old forums used UBB which is not database based the way vB is.
Here's the BBB info on the company:

Not a very good record. :P

It's a web hosting industry community and you will find the comments on the host most interesting.
I just want you to have a good host and not waste your money. :)
One, the name is not Radius, it's RadiusCo. It's not polite to continually refer to them in such a way.
Also, the old forums were *NOT* located on the RadiusCo Servers. They were hosted by friends of Lorien, and had broken many times in the past. And it wasn't a DB failure, either. The server was literally lost, and needed retirement. It couldn't have been DB Failure, anyhow. UBB stores all threads and data in independent files. Each forum has its own folder, and each thread has its own file. It can get rather big at times.
Biggles<font color=#AAFFAA>The Man Without a Face</font>
In fact, it did get rather big at times, filling up our allocated space. That, and the log files.

What if it's in another galaxy?
I use them, I also reccomend them to any of the people I do webdesign for.
True, prices arn't the cheapest in the industry, but you get reliable service, almost 24hours a day help if needed, etc etc...
You get waht you pay for. :)

People...
There is NO Problem!
If there was, I'd say something like this:
"PEOPLE! We Have a problem!"
But I'm not, am I?
You may return to what you were doing. Thanks!
[B]The thing is, Bandwidth is *NOT* a problem.

I posted several links to respectful companies that offer plans which have the right specs to them.
