I didn't find out until I read the headline "TERROR STRIKES WASHINGTON AND NEW YORK CITY" and saw the upper half of a photo of the towers on fire on a local newspaper (in a vending machine). I thought it was another terrorist attack like the first one on the WTC; it wasn't until I walked into the nearby Office Depot and saw the news broadcast on TV that I found out otherwise...

I was walking my girlfriend home when my Mom rang my handphone to tell me that there had been terrorist attacks on the WTC. We just hurried to her place and turned on the news, and stayed glued to the screen until about 3am. I was completely shocked, and so was her family as events unfolded, especially when u saw people jumping out of the building to try desperately to escape.
My heart goes out to the victims of this terrible tragedy.
Guys: I just want to say that I am damn angry that people can make such insensitive comments about these events. It shows a complete lack of respect for the victims and their families. Do they have no sense of decency?
