A fitting 3 minutes silence

We just finished our 3 minutes silence about 15 mins ago. It was respectfull moment. Our whole building fell silent, and considering its a university building thats hard. It was quite a hard 3 minutes though, emotionally. All I could think of was the suffering so many people are going through right now... loved ones dead, missing, maimed. All the images of what happened just played over and over in my mind. So so sad. As we observed the silence I had this mornings paper in front of me, which had images from inside the Trade Centre before it collapsed. As I write this now I'm finding it hard to fight the tears. Everbody here has gone back to doing their work, but I find it hard to do, knowing what people are going though. With the help of God they can find more survivors. Thats all we can hope for now.
