I didn't. But because I have little free time, my projects are all on hold so I have nothing to post.

I have. Just started to model the Bluestar. Here's a progress pic of the front section:

What are you using to model it? It looks like it's been NURBed, then tripled.

Heh heh... You still using 5.6 there PJH?

No one's gotten you a *cough* demo version of 7.0 yet?

I meant what technique. Notice I said I thought it looked NURBed.

Yup, still using 5.6 Jack. I haven't got my hands on a *cough* demo of 7.0 yet. I talked about it recently with Nadab and Matt tough, but they didn't have it anymore. I sure would like to try out all those new cool features though.

Thanks. Maybe I'll model Donald himself after this is done.

Yup, NURBS it is. You didn't think I would try splines for that beast? I want to get it done some day you know.

Really? I reckon splines would be the easiest way to go for the Bluestar. It's a fairly simply ship, much simpler than a Whitestar.

Well, IMO WS is much easier to do with splines, because of the shapes of the ships parts, but Bluestar's "middle fuselage" would be pretty difficult and slow to model with splines, at least for me anyway. NURBS are much easier and faster for that kind of shapes IMO. That "nose" part in the pic would be pretty easy to model with splines though, but that too is easier and faster with NURBS IMO. However I probably am going to model the rear "fins" with splines due to their shape, but that will remain to be seen.

    Just my 2 dimes.
