At last I've figured out those spline-cage-thingies

99% made with splinecages. This is just a screencapture from the MAX perspective window [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img] (and it's WIP, so there're no guns and stuff, and some holes in the modell, and especially the topnose section needs to be... refined..)

    not really, though when i didn't know how to do a piece, i looked at Kier Darby's tutorial to see how he did it...

    Yeah, you need to merge the points along the middle properly to get rid of it.

    Actually, I should be more specific. Merging points to get rid of seams I learnt when I was making my dragon. Merging points to fix polygons without normals I learnt from Jack yesterday.

    I usually modell using the mouse and my hand, but are those dental wirings a good alternative (except for the pain). I figure it must be hard to model by moving your teeth :P
