Import path to Lightwave

wot kind of vectors will lightwave swallow ?

if I was to use my Ax of choice, Freehand... can I get my vectors into LW without mashing them ?

And how good are Lightwaves basic drawing tools ? as in one plane drawing tools... creating vectors...

    I don't know about importing vectors like that, you'd be going from 2D to 3D so it might not like it. As for drawing them, I don't think it's anywhere near as complex as a 2D vector program. Lightwave is point and polygon based, whereas those are mathematically based as far as I know. In Lightwave you put down a bunch of points and then make open or closed curves out of them.

    LW is a 3D proggy. You don't [b]draw[/b] anything in a 3D proggy. Well, LW does have a Pen tool though, which you can use to "draw" polygons.

    you aint quite got it...

    'frinstnace.... I draw a 'vase silohette'.... that I want to 'lathe' later in lightwave...

    Max swallows AI vectors ok... provided you set scale to mm before you do... I remember chasing pinprick sized art on a football field.
