Anyone notice the big CGI glitches?
1: Nials flying backwards in the Valen launch scene
2: Babylon 5 either NOT rotating or Partially rotating (Rotating section moving, docking port not) in the end credits

It was rotating, but it was rotating slowly.

    I saw it rotating too.

I believe it was rotating slowly from the camera angle because of the distance of the shot. If you get closer, you can see it rotating faster.

The farther you are away, the less it seems to rotate.

It was rotating, but very slowly. Looks like a GVFX choice to me, kinda like the different jump points. I'm not sure I like those jump points; what happened to having two colors?

The rest of the CGI was just stunning, though, so I can take it.

Maybe those weren't nials at all...or those were a second generation of them. After all, humans are involved in ship designs now so they might have fiddled with them a bit.

Stunning? Compare it with severed dreams and LOTR was a giant leap backwards.

Consider that Severed Dreams was done by Foundation Imaging, one of the best (if not already) CGI Studios. I'm sure it's really hard to compete against the likes of them.
Try to not compare it against something like that right now. I feel strongly that the quality of the "Rangers" CGI will greatly improve in the series (if it is given the green).

I only watched it on my computer so I couldn't fully appreciate the cgi quality, but what I did see was excellent. From the last shot I could see B5 rotating, but for a second I thought it wasn't... once I squinted a bit I could see she was spinning away. On the jump points, they looked good, but I miss the blue effect from the series... I just loved the way the blue used to shine on the cruisers that jumped through.

But still, its a new studio so there will be plenty of room for improvement. They did an excellent job!
