Just purchase Babylon 5 Vol. 2: Messages from Earth.

It has that track, and the others are also excellent, particularly the latter half of track 2.

Hmm... you need some Final Fantasy music in there, by Nobuo Uematsu. The Piano Collections for FF8 and FF9 to start with; add in FF8 Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec (the arranged album), 02202002, and the Symphonic Suite.

And once you have those, get started on Yasunori Mitsuda's stuff with the Chrono Cross and Xenosaga OSTs.

• I have 4375 total winamp playable files in 2 master music directories, some of those are short .wav clips (b5 sounds/bloopers), some are midi, but 4000+ of them are still mp3s....
• VladVlad Earthforce Officer
Hmm, are there extended versions of the other seasons' themes floating around anywhere?

And what happened to MusicOfB5.com, anyway?

• mambo_mordenmambo_morden Earthforce Officer
I've got a bunch of the "music of b5" files, but I don't have any of the other season's extended themes.
• BekennBekenn Sinclair's Duck
There are no other extended versions, unless you count Variations on a Theme; it was created by editing the various season themes (as well as the ITF combat sim theme) together into one long 12-minute piece. It's actually quite good, and there were two versions made.

• Well, no, espcially since I have an audigy 2 card, so you load up a 128mb soundfont, and they truely do sound great.

Anyway, my playlists change daily, I have everything from tool, ozzy, metallica, creed, the calling, lifehouse, michelle branch, linkin park, lord of the rings soundtrack, musicals, dance, trance.... just about everything..

One soundtrack I still really like for a game are the tracks from Descent 2. Great stuff..dark and "techno goth" for lack of a better term. Strong guitar stuff too.

And for the record, that truly is a horrible midi.

I have most of that music. It still amazes me how he can constantly churn out original and great pieces.

There were orchestrations done for pretty much all of the FFs. The Symphonic Suite covers FF 1-3, Grand Finale is FF6 orchestrated, Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec (probably the best of the orchestrations) covers FF8, and the FF9 Plus soundtrack has all the cut scene music, which is orchestrated. FF10 is already "orchestrated" in the OST, despite being probably the worst of the FF soundtracks. I'm pretty sure FF11 is, as well. In addition to that, there's 02202002, so named because it's a live concert that was performed on February 20 last year. It has new stuff from every FF 1 through 10. Celtic Moon is FF4 arranged in Celtic style; not exactly an orchestra, but certainly not MIDI. Dear Friends is the FF5 arranged soundtrack, also not quite orchestra; a bit difficult to describe. FF7 has the three Reunion tracks. Overall, FF7 is probably the most maligned when it comes to arranged versions.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. One more question. I move back and forth between my mom's house and my dad's house often (weekends at dads, every other wednesday with my dad, most else with my mom). My parents houses are about a block apart from each other. What I need is an easy way to keep music stored (because I have a habit of downloading one thing at one house and then not having it at the other). Are there any cheap ways to do this? I don't really want to use CDRW's because of the longish write time and having to copy and paste (or run it off the CD, which is a pain for me to have to do). Any suggestions (if you aren't driven insane by now by my lengthy bullshit session )? Thanks.

P.S. Keep the suggestions coming! I have seen quite a few very good ones that I definately want. Thanks again!
