Hey all finn's i just saw Talovista at our school. they showed it here on the big screen as one of my teachers, my sound teacher David Yewdall worked on it.
It was bloody awesome and everyone here should go see it, and when your done watching it realize they made it for 5 million bucks.

Glad you liked it. It's indeed a great movie, especially for a movie with that small budget.
Btw, you should also see the "Tuntematon Sotilas" ("The Unknown Soldier") movies as well (the original film and the later new version). They are also great Finnish war movies. They are also very realistic as the story is based on the writer's own personal experiences as an infantry man in the Finnish army during the "Continuation War" (1941-1944). Both ones are quite a lot like the Talvisota movie. I highly recommend them if you liked the Talvisota. Although you will miss part of the movie without understanding the finnish language. Part of the "fun" is the used language and the old dialect and way of speaking, but they're great movies anyway. [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]

I like Finnish war movies, except "Rukajärven tie"! Somehow that movie is too "modernly" done. It doesn't give the right feeling somehow!
