Who's pre-ordered their DVDs then?

Well I took the bold step and pre-ordered from Amazon, following the link on frontpage. All I need to do is save up for a multi-region player now.

Anybody else pre-ordered theirs yet?

    Pre-ordering is good, as it guarantees that you will get a copy. However, you will probably get it [i]after[/i] it comes out in the shops, which I find annoying.     Well, I ordered mine. This just goes to show everyone, though, why no company wants to count on fans who promise to buy stuff. I remember how many people were putting their names on lists to say they would buy even multiple copies, but now that it really happens, through here we get..... what, five guys? At least, who are willing to admit to it. I'm just looking forward to season by season box sets now.

    But then I live in New Zealand, and so the only way i'm gonna get those DVDs is to get them off the net

    I don't see any point in boycotting them. So many people don't know about the patent and use them it won't make a difference. But the main reason is that I live in NZ and it's the only way for me to get them. [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]

    Geeez, I thought more people would have pre-ordered... I can understand wanting to wait before getting them to make sure they're good. It will do alot of good if there's a good steady stream of buyers from this ite to the Amazon page, it will show there is interest and demand.

    It's too bad that Firstones can't be a dealer for the DVD's directly, and get all the profit from their sale instead of part of Amazon's, but of course that would be far too much trouble to ask anyone to go to. Especially for the small response we are getting. I hope some of the guys here will buy them when they are released from retail stores or something, because this is the way we really have to show our support for B5. We have to actually put the dollars down, or nobody will listen.

    And I suppose boycotting Sierra has no point either.

    The point is that the only way I have to show my dissatisfaction with Amazon (and Sierra) is by taking my business elsewhere.

    the fact was that a large number of people were participating in an organized boycott. In your case, it is a single person's endeavour.
