    and it needs a low set chinrest for straights and spots where you dont really need your head up.

    I cant see anything wrong with the same concept in a reclining set up. Much safer and comfortable. I'd much rather have compound leg fractures than broken vertabrae, smashed skull etc.

    A recliner style one you could build now with motorcycle parts, plenty of reclining bicycles out there. The best thing about bikes and trikes is the regulations. Cars are so heavily regulated in terms of manufacturing no sane person thinks about making a new car from scratch, ( unless you are Chev or Ford ).

    Bikes on the other hand as a rule of thumb dont have so many to comply with, (other than emissions if you run a petrol engine, but generally, if you built one of these, you'd be looking at an existing bike engine anyways so its not so much of an issue. ) You can experiment with it and perhaps even get it far enough along to interest Honda or something..
