[b]That reminds me of a computer game I used to have for the Apple II, I can't seem to remember the name, Spy something. Anyway I have about twelwe little "elevators" going up and down and your little guy had to run across each "floor" avoiding the elevators. If you got squished it played the James Bond theme....wish I could remember the name.

That sounds like something loosely based on Elevator Action, which was an old arcade game:

[b]Actually, yes it has been done before here, hasn't it?

Yeah, all it takes is a few minutes of searching on google to nap a free script.

Yeah that's a bit like it but the graphics weren't good. It had a series of about 12 elevators and about 12 levels that intersected those elevators. The idea is that you went back & forth across the level, each time moving up one level until you got to the top of the screen. The catch was that once you started moving across a level you couldn't stop, but you could change direction. It made for some quick finger action on the arrow keys.
Also while we're talking about [b]really[b] old school games, does anyone remember one called Montezuma's Revenge? It was a 2-D games along the lines of Mario Bros or Pitfall.
