Huge rumor going around about Sierra/Dynamix
I'm not one to celebrate this kind of thing, as it always sucks when people lose their jobs, and Tribes 2 is currently my favorite game (hats off to Dynamix), so I'd hate to se Dynamix closed, but that's the rumor.

Unfortunately, Tribes 2 isn't in that category. Hell, it's so bad that the game is now selling locally for under $20 in the bargain bin and the Software Etc. by me has a manager that's a bit annoyed with the game, with all the return requests it generated.

Due partly, no doubt, to the fact that the game was pushed out the door too early by it's publisher.

And there are 200,000 current registered Tribes 2 users (that does not include returned copies of the game, as returned key codes are wiped from their database), so I'd say the game has sold pretty well, given the circumstances.
Tribes 2 is a great game, and I'm sorry to see that there probably won't be a Tribes 3.
just distribute and market.... leave making to the people who do it best...

My bet is that Sierra will collapse in on itself just like one. Hope fully it will dissapear right up its own arsehole... my only hope is that someone will fuk up... and there will be a fire sale... and certain materials will be 'liberated'.....
