I noticed that as well Biggs. They can't blow up the Enterprise-E. The saucer section doesn't seperate on this one to ditch ont eh planet and have Data go "Oh sh!t".
Biggles.
Anyway, if you look at the part where Data is running down a severly ruined corridor, I'm pretty sure that's an Enterprise corridor, although I could be wrong. Then you see him jumping out of a ruined hull and flying through space. It is possible that that is a chunk of Enterprise. You also see the bridge taking a lot of damage. Of course, I am probably completely wrong.

Yeah, it looks pretty incredible. I notice that they say it's the last voyage of that generation. Must be their last movie. I wonder if they'll blow up another enterprise.

I saw the tralier last week, and heard the "A generation's final voyage" whigh 100% goes against everything Patrick Stewart has been saying for the past 6 months, he's been saying that it is NOT the last, and that as long as the movies keep doing well and there is interest, that the cast will continue to do them, Go figure.
I know a few members of the cast want it to end two films ago. They want to move on, but can't because of obligations to the current project.
Wasn't Spiner protesting the most on this matter? I believe it was he who claimed trek had brought his acting career to a halt by typecasting him as Data. He wanted to finish and close the character and move on.
Anyhoo, Frakes loves it, wants to continue.
He's been saying that he would be willing to continue, even though (a bit further back) he said he really wanted to get away from trek, as it was damaging his career.

I'm still miffed that Frakes isn't directing this movie, he really suprised me with his directing ability, I was impressed.

Looks bad, but it is an even numbered ST movie so it should be good. All the even numbers are the better half...

So true

Passive fields. January two thousand and twelve. A nation that stands alone. Cold voices, faces pale, Gathered unto their judgement day. Such words remain unspoken. Such pride remains unbroken. Just mothers to stand in vain and cry. Tears and medals in the rain. Shall I recall when justice did prevail? No reason to be found why reason did fail. The all clear resounding. The way was clear to rebuild this land. Shall I call on you to guide me well, To see our hopes and dreams fulfilled? On this day of our ascension.

-ST2 Wrath of Khan: Cool battle scene... Bill's immortal line "SPOOOOCK!"
-ST3: Blah, cool explosion at the end tho...
-ST4: clever humour, whales, what else do you need ?
-ST5: Long and Pointless, no rock monsters
-ST6: Cool klingon stuff, battle scene, Targs.
-ST: Generations: McDowell is sinister and british, otherwise disappointing and depressing.
-ST: First Contact: Borg, space battle, new enterprise, jsut plain fun.
-ST: Insurrection: A mediocre 2-hour long episode

Such fond memories...about a year later I was sucked into some portal and arrived in the b5 universe where I have lived ever since. I cant say I want to go back but I did have some fun times

It was more than just showing off the Enterprise.

Wrath of Kahn is cool, ST6 is IMO the best of the "old generation" movies, First Contact was a Ton of fun despite a couple of plot holes (umm..if they can travel back in time once, why not do it again?) Unless, of course, the temporal police from 3230 are keeping it from happening again

I agree. ST6 was the best, it was so dark. I knew it would be different from the opening credits. (Errie music, ect.) And was it me or did they make the Klingons much more scary looking in that one than the rest? In the others they just looked... dirty.
I also loved First Contact, but it seemed a little rushed at the beginning.

I thought that was because the borg lines were spread thin during their war on species 1472
