I loved this series for the same reasons I loved B5. Pacing, in-depth character development, worldbuilding, complete ridiculousness at times -- it's all there and I loved it to tiny little bits. The fact that it's a fantasy novel series and not a sci-fi one is a minor detail that shouldn't stop anyone from reading it. Holy crap. Anyone else read it? It's a long read, but never has a thousand pages felt so short.
