Big in Japan!

Well.. I'm nearly 2 meters tall, so I reckon I am kinda tall anywhere.

Anyhow, on 27th I'll be heading to japan for the first time.

Any suggestions for some moderately cheap sights and things to do in Tokyo-Osaka-Kyoto area? :)

    Are you good with Japanese? How about Kanji?     Tokyo: Senso-ji in Asakusa is one of the best temples in Tokyo. They probably have their cherry blossom festival at the moment, too. Climb the Sky Tree if you feel rich and enjoy long queues. Otherwise, climb the Tokyo Metropolitan Govt Towers for a similar view that costs nothing. If you like Edo-era stuff, the Edo Museum has lots of recreations and is worth a look. Head down to Minato Mirai in Yokohama.

    Kyoto: All the temples along the east side (particularly Kiyomizu-dera and the Silver Pavilion), the Golden Pavilion, and Higashi Hongan-ji (just north of the station).

    Osaka: Skip the castle; it's a modern recreation that looks more like an office building inside. The grounds are nice, though. The Shinsekai is worth a look and has lots of good food.
