They seem to be using the same people characters as from the Starship Troopers cgi series

anyone else seen this?

They should really make a series set in the mechwarrior universe or battletech but not as a kids show

    Heavy Gear is done by Mainframe, who did Reboot. Not the same people as did Starship Troopers.

    too early for me to wake up, they show it here at 6 am, and i usually snooze till noon

    It's a terrible show.

    The CGI is ok (Foundation Imaging did bid for the contract, and their CGI was much better (more realistic, and used motion blur). Mainframe's CGI is just not as good (but I'm sure they bid lower, which is why they ended up doing the work).

    The worst part about it is how the show is nothing more than arena combat between Mechs. No real wars or battles.

    Sounds like typical American dumbing down of story. Go watch something Japanese instead.

    The original Japanese voices for any anime are usually of incredible quality.
