some questions about b5

hello, i have two questions about b5. they might sound dumb but ive always wondered why does vir and the rest of the ambassaders stay on b5 after everyone leaves? shouldn't they be on minbar with the alliance? also, who represents earth in the alliance?

    This isn't explained by JMS, so here is my take, using available canon.

    B5 is still Earth Alliance (not "the Alliance"). Just because the Alliance moved its HQ to Minbar doesn't mean that B5 is no longer EA's answer to the UN. Yes, its importance is dimished, but those effects would not be felt immediately. (It did, however, lead to the events in "Sleeping in Light".)

    It is implied in SiL and other places that B5 becomes more of a trading rather than political nexus... and becomes less important with each passing year.
