Poll: Cursors
Data Crystal
Pencil Artist
in Zocalo v2.0
Yep, sue me. Another poll.
1. What's the cursor set you're using?
2. Do you have a unique collection or a different-cursor-for-each-purpose embargo?
3. Animated or static?
4. Size? (resolution-wise)
5. Why?
6. Do you like cursors that change at every different function?
7. Would you be willing to try a green-blue freeware cursor aimed for large resolutions?*
*I'm looking for a test batch of around 10 people, applicants should post an addy where to send it and preference over ZIP / EXE -archive. Comments on the thread please.
I'm a bit bored here and this hasn't been asked before, if memory serves...

Life is full of surprises. The ones reserved for me usually come wearing brass knuckles.

3. Static.
4. Standard.
5. Because the regular one sucks and its a nice change of pace.
6. You mean ones that change when you're running programs (ie: Pointer -> hourglass)? Then yes.
7. Not if it looks like some kiddy POS.

1. See above.
2. See above.
3. Animated (see above ).
4. Standard size.
5. Cause the normal ones are boring and my other set doesn't have the cool cursor-turns-into-I-bar thing.
6. Huh? All cursor sets change at different functions, even the standard ones.
7. Does it do the cool cursor-turns-into-I-bar thing?

Nope sorry. The cursor remains static, the colours shift between each-others places, and the I-bar appears in the middle "hollow" screen of the cursor. The I bar then starts to flicker smoothly between black & white, causing lighting effects on the sides at the peak of its brightness.

Yes, but it's easy to assign the same cursor to each and every task. I just wanted to see if anyone here does it like that.
3D white

I use the 3D version of the white standard Windows cursor set.

You guys don't even want to consider trying out the cursor I boasted?

There you go, I just dug up another grave. You can find the cursor over there under TIEDOSTOT. It's in finnish, but I know you'll work it out. It's not the mod, it's the other one.
------------------
"It does not require an artist to wield the blade that finds itself struck through the heart of an opponent. It takes a true artist to present the sword and allow the man to strike himself against it."
I also noticed it was hard to see at times, due to the transparency. There also appears to be a precision problem. When I tried to rezise a window, I had to click below the normal level for it to work.
Also, I like a bit of animation in my primary cursor. As long as it's nothing extremely flashy, it can prove useful. When playing on photoshop, I often lose the cursor. It's nice to have a tiny bit of animation identify where it is (unless it's on a tool-specific cursor, which can't be changed.)
[b]Interesting poll you have here.

same here
And the hotspot of the cursor is located at the very beak of the cone. That may seem a bit out of place as there is only one single pixel with three free sides.

3. Mostly static
4. Fairly small
5. Becuase this question is stupid, I refuse to answer
6. No.
7. No. Keep it simple and undistracting.
2. Nope
3. "Busy" and "working in background" icons animated, every other one static.
4. Standard
5. It's relatively simple, but still manages to look cool.
6. If you mean for functions like a link on a webpage, yes.
7. Not really, I'm very happy with my current set.
Curz, you... well you. :p
Oh, and the 'set' endorsed here can be dl'd from here
I still use it, btw. And it looks good on Win 2000 / XP with the shadow.
/EDIT: Sry, seems that the Class Clown did the digging...
