Anyone Seen the movie Stargate????

Has anyone seen the movie Stargate.
Is it just me or do some things seem a bit differnt from the Show?.
(P.S Just posting this for some thing to do)

    I've seen the movie a dozen times. Personally, I like the show more. Especially O'Neil. Dude cracks me up. [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/tongue.gif[/img] I'm glad that Scifi picked it up cuz now I can watch [b]up-to-date[/b] episodes.

    Speaking of SG1, anyone notice the similarity between the new ship and the Ulyesses fighter from Freespace?

    I thought the movie was good. It got trashed by the critics, but I found it entertaining.

    The series is really good, though yet again I was unable to follow it from the beginning, and only catch the odd episode here and there. But overall its a qulaity show.

    Actually for UK viewers, Channel 4 is re-running the 1st season of SG 1 on Sundays (cracking pilot ep was 2 weeks ago), followed by Andromeda (pugh crap) and the current SG 1 series.

    the guys behind the movie, roland emmerich and dean devlin (come on you know you reconize these names) hate the show because it took away their sequel, apparently they wanted to go a different way...

    but i LOVE they show.

    Rule of thumb: If the critics hate your movie, its some good shit.     I love the movie - one of my favorite Scifi movies actually.

    I think it'll still be syndicated, so you broadcast people, don't panic. It was on Showtime, in case you didn't know, a season ahead all this time. (I didn't get to see the season before this one, so Im wondering where Daniel went...and yes I know now so don't bother helping to fill me in.)

    What about how those Centauri Fighters look a lot like many Kilrathi Fighters from WingCommander, e.g. the Dralthi. That is, unless, WingCommander came after...

    Its not just the Kilrathi Fighters, I noticed that most of the ships share a similar design to the Centauri ships when I first played Wing Commander 3 in 1994.

    They do to. ANd the old Ra death gliders aer almost used by all the System lords. and earth too. Is was funny when they messed around with those two death gliders [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/biggrin.gif[/img]

    Also there is alot of startrek shit in the show too, Tranporters, Drive systems, weapons .ect. But the ships are powered by 115, which some people say that UFO are power by is too [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/biggrin.gif[/img]
