New Story....

Well this is something that came to me last week...... Its not B5 based but I wanted to put it here, because I wanted to see what you guys think of it... so her goes
---------------------------------------------Prologue: Upside Down.

The sun shone down on Adam as he strode across Fetter Square, past the statue of Marquise Douglas and the Old Tree, past the Free Market and the other vestiges of the Old World. The people dresses Old; jeans, shirts, sneakers and sunglasses made up their cloths, and many had wrist watches. Old cloths for Old things thought Adam, and smiled.

Across town, Eve was sitting in her chair waiting for her turn. The pompous Speaker on at the moment spoke of Old ideals such as music, painting, photography and movies as if they were the work of Shi’na; evil to their core and twice as ugly.
“The only way we can stay pure and strong is to stamp out these debaucheries as if they were never here, as if... “
Eve shut off again, thinking of how to follow this idiot.

The sun was setting before the two meet up again, Adam driving their old hovercar up to the VIP exit of the Speaker’s Hall. The security guard sniggered at the old car, but she waved Adam through without more than a glance. Even had he been wielding a Pulse rifle she wouldn’t have stopped him. His full name was Adam Walen Dohan the III, and everyone knew he was the son of the richest family Upside, and that he was married to Eve Bondchenco, 1st Level Speaker and daughter of a former Marquise. What he did was his own business. Adam waited near the steps out of the Hall for Eve. When she arrived she had a look of defeated resignation on her face, as if there was little point anymore in trying, at anything.
Adam was concerned, he had never seen his wife looking so destroyed, not once in their hundred years of marriage, not even when she missed out on Marquise by just five hundred votes, and that had meant the world to her.
“Love, what’s wrong?”
Eve looked up, her eyes reddened from crying, her makeup marred by streaks as the tears ran down her cheeks.
“What’s wrong?”, Adam asked again.
“What’s wrong? I’ll tell you what’s wrong. We lost. There is no Old World, never again!!”

So what do you think???

Idiocy is not a learnt thing, but neither is it a genetic thing. It is simply something that jumps from genration to generation as it chooses and latches itself onto certain individuals.

Aint life great :) :) :)

Interesting. Finish it, and get it published. I am moraly opposed to reading longish stories on the computer, it plays havic with my eyes. And this seems like it would be at least a novella.

One thing, though: When a name is Joe Blow the Third for example, it is written Joe Blow III, and the 'the' is understood.

Ever try printing thirty-odd pages. Usualy I'll start reading what I'm printing the pass the time, and end up finishing before the printer. Besides, 8 1/2 x 11 isn't too good for reading. You always end up losing a page.

    heh. true
    they can have many pages...
well, now I'm out of ideas

As for losing pages: I staple
Edit: and yes, I have many staplers which can successfully staple 40 pages
