With a five-year arc and an intricate story that unfolded more like a seasons-long miniseries than a series, J. Michael Straczynski's Babylon 5 earned legions of fans worldwide--all of whom were riveted to his story until it concluded on TNT in 1998. The series was followed by four B5 telefilms and a short-lived spinoff titled Crusade; creative differences over the latter by cable network TNT marked the end of B5's relationship with that network. Now, Straczynski brings his imagination to the SCI FI Channel with this fall's highly anticipated Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers: To Live and Die in Starlight.

We are one. No matter the blood, no matter the skin, no matter the world, no matter the star. .. We are one.
No matter the pain, no matter the darkness, no matter the loss, no matter the fear. .. We are one.

Good for him! I'm glad. Its weird how JMS has had stick like this from TNT and from SFX magazine. For some reason they just hated B5 and JMS. Hence I don't buy that mag anymore!

  • Probably beacuse "SFX" mag is aimed at the "loaded" type of fanboy...i.e. only interested in the "Tit`s`n`ass" aspects of a sci-fi show. If a show demands that the viewer actually has to *think* about it`s messages, then they generally take the P**s out of it in their comments. Sometimes it`s a laugh-but the editorial bias against B5 stemmed from being excluded from the soundstages during the filming of the show i seem to remember...so it`s more personal than actual critism of B5. Petty.
    I prefer "DreamWatch" myself...

That's pretty pathetic for a magazine that should be impartial.
