But PAL and NTSC is different.......just happened to make the same thing in different countries - and so you get compatability problems.

I cheated with the software based DVD player on my IMAC.... it asked me which zone I was in....
so I put a copy on each of my disk partitions... viola.... I can play the big three zonewise and not miss anything.... ( crappy player tho... but.. hey.. nuthins perfect )

I just saw the whole series of Monty Python's Flying Circus on DVD for $99 bucks. if they can do that (14 DVD's) then we should be able to get each season in one box set.
I also saw the StarGate SG1 first season set for i think $54.

PC's are even easier. Just download a little program called DVDGenie, and you can change the region setting in all the software players and reset the counter for those that have them. [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]

HMV (UK) do B5 season boxed sets for £75 per season. I have 3,4,and 5.
2 years ago i moved out from my parents, and moved 300 miles up country, unfortunately the amount i could take with me was limited, so i left my Star Trek DS9 video collection behind to pick up at a later date.
I have every DS9 episode on bought VHS tape, I went home last easter to move them, and I found that 80% of them had gone mouldy and were unplayable.
These days i buy DVD only, im not ever having something like this happeneing again.
I thought that HMV stopped doing those season box sets [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/frown.gif[/img]
When the came out I was about 14 and so £75 per box set was a bit too much for me to afford.
