I've found that sci fi fans don't socialize much in chat rooms. Whether it's Trek or B5, most of it seems to stay at forums like this.
For example, I have a chat room hosted by 8 other websites but it gets very little activity. I prefer mIRC, but as far as java applets go I think I got a nice one. [url="http://thefsd.tripod.com/chat.html"]http://thefsd.tripod.com/chat.html[/url]

well, the problem with that one is that it is on a distant server. I generally stay on EFnet, due to #babylon5 and #Farscape being there. (#Firstones is also there!)
I really will not connect to other networks unless I have to, so that is why I don't like connecting to that one too often [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img] too remote [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]
just hurry up and do it... instead of bitchslapping each other about it....
if whatever version starts... and isnt used it will be fairly obvious that it is a DUD and we pick another way..
Just personally I hate IRC....
the ubernerd factor goes through the roof in all but maybe 2% of the channels available.. and on the whole it is very user unfriendly... we want to encourage people not put them off with
stupid Leetness....
