    I know this is a bit far-fetched, but what about the idea of making about $500,000 or whatever it was, and finding someone to finish the game?

    Would anyone else out there be willing to try?

    There are about 1200 people registered to this forum. If each gave about 420$, we'd get the amount. I'm ready to try!
    I should work one or two weeks to get the money, but actually that's not too much for the game. I'm serious.

    Hey, some people are always collecting money for the poor people in Africa. Shouldn't we collect money for "poor, sad people all around the world". I'm still serious.

    Hack into Sierra's bank account, and transfer a large amount of money into an account for our cause. With today's net security, they will never find out who done it.

    Don't look at me though, I've never even installed Windows before...

    Drazi Guy, you probably should stress that we come up with 'legal' ways of saving the game.

    I'm sure that there are hundreds more gamers out there who want the game just a bad as we do. If you like space sims then anything that looks really hot will catch your fancy. That should add some more pennies to the donation kitty...

    but who can be targeted now as a potential buyer of the game???

    How about porting it to the Mac?? Might be worth a try, if all else fails.
