One last chance?

I know this has all been said before, but our only real hope, however slim, is Microsoft. They have loads of money and a not-so-good reputation they could improve.
Then again, now that they are going to publish other high-risk games (at least the next game by the makers of Homeworld, Relic, was it?), they may not be very enthusiastic about buying B5. Also, too much time has passed, and by the time they would have completed negotiations the old devs will be scattered.
Still, Microsoft is a more realistic chance than collecting money from the fans, as there simply are not enough fans to make the sum per person reasonable, and most of those who would in principle be willing to donate money simply can't come up with 400-500$. And even if we could collect money, we would need to found a company to organize the spending, hire lawyers to negotiate the deals, and find and hire some programmers and staff to finish the code. The burden is just too much.
So our one last hope is to start an e-mail and letter campaign to try to get Microsoft interested. If someone has contacts at Microsoft, that would really help, as we need someone inside to speak for the game. Otherwise were just about as good as gone.

We should try to get other companies interested in the game, to show that the support for the game is still present. Maybe it would make it feasible for a company to pick it up, but only if we continue to spread the word and keep alive the hope that it can be done. At this point if we falter and lose hope, then everything would be lost.
