Two ideas!

Ok, I have two ideas about getting us a B5 game. One is a long term project and the other is to get B5:ItF in some form.

1.The short term project
We start the mailing (regular+email) campaign. The companies targeted should be Microsoft, although they`re publishing Allegiance, Freelancer and Starlancer, or Interplay because Interplay is losing it`s Star Trek license in the near future and should be looking a new space oriented franchise

2.Long term support
We start to soften up some companies over a long period of time by our mailing campaign to make somekind of B5 game, it doesen`t have to be a space sim. We just try to make the company buy the B5 license and make a game.

"I died on Z`Ha`Dum and all I will get is this lousy B5 game."

Comments

  • I think that MS and Interplay are feasible choices. In my opinion, I cannot see a reason why Sierra would not lower their price now that Codemasters has turned them down, assuming that is the primary reason for refusal. The project is fast becoming an irrecoverable cost, and they would stand to lose more if they did not sell to whoever wants to buy at this point.

However, CM must have turned them down for other reasons, like the risk of taking on the game -- because it is a genre that they have little experience in. Secondly, the cost of continuing development is also quite high. These must have factored in.

I would say Interplay, after Klingon Academy and New Worlds come out, they loose their licence of producing any game about the old series and movies I to VI.(the TNG, DS9, and VGR eara licence is owned Activision)

I say they would be the best bet in this case, I won't put to much fate in Microsoft, they never seemed to have lisened to fans before.

And Interplay has the motto for it "For gamers, by gamers"
