The red beams don't look real...need a glow on them. (In Blender, thats done the same way as the atmospheric glow you mentioned in another thread)
Antialiasing does look on...but only on the full sized versions.
How did you do that green haze btw? And what program did you use to render?

I know, they look crap I couldn't work out how to do them correctly, so I left them as they are for now.

I had another look, and even though it was turned on it didn't render with it on, so I've re-rendered the images, and know all (I hope) looks OK.

Oh now you've done it. It's bad enough creating them, let alone remembering how I did it
I created one a while ago from a tutorial I found on the web, but I no longer have the tutorial or remember how I created it. When I need a nebula I just load it in and have a play until it looks right.

All done with Blender. Do you think I make enough money to afford anything else?

I've remembered how I did it.
I added a plane, and then in "Animation buttons" I added a new effect of "Particles" and then mucked around with the number of particles, lifespan, childs etc.
In materials I added a new material and set it to "Halo", "Halo Tex" and then added a "Marble Texture" to it.
