been awhile since I've been able to play with Blender....really didn't have time to make this. oh well, hour and a half less sleep is all.

    As I recall, he made a circle in blender, subdivided it a few hundred times. Each one of those devisions he made into a Halo. Then he cut away the ones on the dark side of the planet.

    Hmm...maybe I'll sip the lighting tutorial, there is already a very good one out for blender, and Kiers works well as well...

    since there are so many aspects that make a planet look good...clouds, maps, bump, spec, freshnel (The atmosphereic haze), atmosphereic glow...hmmm
