After a request from Matt "Drakh" Tarling and Chris Sapiano, I rendered this.

    Oh, good lord.. that's amazing! The only bad bits .. in an otherwise beautiful piece:

    1. Planet looks a little fake, too much uniform colour.

    2. The structure attaching the Cortez's engine section to the habitation ring looks poor.

    3. The Omega is too stern-on .. so you can't make much detail on her. (Not that she's the star of the show!)

    4. Perspective. The Omega is a LOT smaller than the Cortez, but they look similar size.

    Those aside .. totally awesome!

    Magewolf - You might not believe it, but the Omega is over 1km behind the Cortez! When I first set up the scene, the Omega was close to the Cortez but it looked out of place. [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/frown.gif[/img]
    I may add another Omega to the scene and move the original over to one side and sort out the Gas Giant too.

    Alternative to this amazing one; have the ships coming the OTHER Way, and put a sun behind them.

    The rings around that planet are way too fakey. I prefer the positions of the ships in the first picture, I like the unusual perspective. I do like the newer planet though. Would you mind rendering it with more colors? My machine can handle a lot more than that and it's disappointing to see color bands that wide.

    However, besides those minor things, I like the pic a lot.

    About the rings: they just need some noise. perhaps a bit of distortion might add something to it. Otherwise, amazing [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]
