Mmmhh. A picture CD? Do you speak of a "real CD" (e.g. made with Macromedia Director) that has a bit of user interaction etc. (at least a nice menu )?? That would be cool. It shouldn't be a tough problem to produce it because we have all material in electronic form anyway. If you can't find someone to "build" it, then send me an email.

Interested, yes. But it's just that living in Finland and not having a credit card can have its drawbacks. I'll have another look when the prices are up and the payment system is organized. Any chance for a "I fought for B5:ITF" lenticular mousemat?

I think it's a good idea.
I'd by both the CD and the t-shirt, although I may not wear it.

RubberEagleWhat's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?
damnit, yes.. i think so.. i thought about making one myself yesterday...
And for the CD: mabe not macromedia (imho it isn't the best way to do such things), some of us might want to save the pics to their HD and and have them as (damnit.. forgot the word...) ... "background"-images on their desktops...

No multi-color. Too expensive I was also suggesting that we sell a hat or visor with the S14 logo. It would be a nice little thing. Maybe a keychain, or sticker set?
I happen to like the photo cd idea, too.
About the prices: I might be able to cut down some costs by shipping some from right here. It would not be a bad idea. If anyone has any other suggestions, please, post!
I suppose I'd buy one. Who needs to eat lunch for a couple of days.

The most I'd expect you to pay for shipping is just over $3 per shirt - standard USPS 2nd-day mailing. You can get cheaper than that for standard package rate shipping.
It's the shirts that will cost more than you'd expect to see in stores, especially since I'm guessing it would need to include some profit (since DraziGuy mentioned it would be to pay for FirstOnes hosting bills).
Ignoring the issues of having visitors indirectly pay for a site discussing or based on copyrighted material by buying shirts/caps, I'm wondering how high even a 1-color transfer t-shirt would cost, given material that won't dissolve in the first wash or three, especially with profit and shipping added on to that. I'd be surprised if the total wasn't near $25 per shirt or, at best, $20+.
Good luck, though

Full color meaning how many colors? 2? 4?
8? 16?
Plus, you should make sure that the actual material used in the shirt is high enough of a quality and sewn together well enough so that it won't start to fall apart in the first dozen washes, the transfer fade or flake, or the shirt start to pill up or come apart at the seams.
I've seen that happen for some of the cheaper (and $18 is cheaper, when you're dealing with small orders of t-shirts with color transfers like that) shirts, including one I ordered back as an undergrad through our local AIAA chapter. Near-paper-thin material is another stunt pulled by these guys when you see cheap prices.
If you end up paying $20 plus $3 shipping plus a profit for FirstOnes, that will probably hit $25+ unless DraziGuy sets a small profit on the shirts (which probably won't even pay for a week of his hosting bill). That's a hefty bill for a single t-shirt.
BigglesThe Man Without a Face
The image on one of the shirts I have is more than 16 colours (I got bored of counting). They've been making them for a few years now, and switched printing processes after a while because the old process was flaking and stuff. However, they have the advantage of being able to order large numbers because of the large number they sell.
The material on their older shirts is 50% cotton 50% polyester, and feels very comfortable. I've only had the shirt three months so I don't know about wear, but someone I know has one two years old and it still looks good. I also have their most recent shirt, and it is 100% cotton, and feels more comfortable.
I'm not saying that is the way we should do ours, but there is no reason not to find out the cost.

Personally, I'd go with two colors only, just to make it cheaper:
Dark purple overall, with bright green images and text. I'd suggest a small aardvark siloette on the left breast of the shirt, possibly a pocket, and one of the S14S logos on the back (one of the b&w made into p&g). Either Large over the entire back, or small and just below the neck.
As for the quality, spare no expense. I wnat this thing to last, and definately NO FLAKING! I hate that.
