Animation delay in Blender(with IPO?)

I'm doing some animations in blender, mainly objects following bezier curves, but I need to start and stop the movements. IPO editor, right? well, how do I find the graph of the objects movement? I get blank graphs! Also is there anyway to change the initial point of movement, it sets the point rather arbitrarily, and NOT where I want it... anyway, if anybody can help, thanks in advance.

  • Well, if your going to start something...might as well be something big!

when you bring up the IPO window there is a graph, with a curvy line, right?

To delay the start, keep the line at zero for a bit, then SLOWLY let it rise up, to have a pause, put it back at zero, then continue the uphill slope. IPOs are NOT easy. just keep playing around with it, and read the tutoial "Plane Following Path" at Blendermania.com

    Hope this will helpl!

  • hmmm, that's the whole thing, there IS no graph, but there SHOULD be... I guess I'm doing SOMETHING weird... I'll just keep plugging away....
