I need help

If someone has a 3d .bmp image of Babylon 5 without textures (greyscale) I could use it to create something really nifty. Please feel free to post anything you may have here!

Thanks

  • SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
why not render with txtures, but in 8 bit greyscale?
  • Well I just want the model in flat grey for a program that I have. It uses the light or darkness of the grey in the image to use as depth values, and I fear that textures might just complicate the image.

If you have any images that fit the bill please post them.

Then the light would probably come from the direction of the camera. I'll try to explain why:
If the light comes from above, the top of the station is quite white and it would be black below. Your program might suppose that white is high and black low, so the upper station would appear high and lower part low, if you know what I mean.
But when the light comes from the direction of the camera, the middle part is light gray and the upper and lower parts are dark gray. Then your program would produce the height correctly.

  • No need to explain, you are absolutely right. The light source would have to come from the direction of the camera in order for the station to show up properly on the program. If anyone could make a bitmap image that fits the bill and post it here I can use it for an image that I will post here or on a separate topic
