I find myself in the highly unusual position of going on a blind date tomorrow. [snip] ... and according to her ID picture on the internal staff directory, not bad looking at all.
I'll let you know how it goes!
Technically it's not a blind date if you know what she looks like. ;) Good luck to you though!! :)
I think it takes a lot of patience and stamina to make it work for a lasting relationship. It's a marathon, not a sprint. If you take shortcuts you may set yourself up for painful disappointments. At least that's how I see it. No guarantees though. Another colleague of mine is going through a divorce after a 15-year marriage. It's about giving and taking, sharing and supporting. You won't just join your mate, but everything else that comes with that person, good and bad. It takes also a lot of time to really get to know each other.
I'm still dating my girl and I'm carefully optimistic. :)

Well we've as to postpone as she's come down with a dose of norovirus that's doing the rounds at the moment on the wards. Still, we're still on to meet after the weekend now so not off the hook yet!
SpiritOne: it's taken me nearly 6 years to be really ready for this, but I do understand what you mean.
