#2, I had hoped that i would have better feelings about the Finale this time around, but nope, i still feel just as Gypped as ever...

The bluray edition of the finale is the complete opposite, they added more :)

Although, if you're one of those people that didn't like the finale, the additions are not going to make much difference to you.

Personally, I liked the way it ended.

Did you or are you going to watch Caprica as well?

I did not watch Caprica, And i've been debating if i should or not.

I just felt that they tried to wrap everything up too quickly at the end. and left too much unanswered. And they also made what I consider a fatal mistake, which is having characters act in a way contrary to their nature.

spoiler just in case someomne hasn't seen it yet. Spoiler: They've just spent 4 years, doing nothing but trying to keep humanity together, and then they are just going to abandon technology and seperate around the planet? and why fire all the ships off into the sun if you are still goign to have Raptors/Vipers down on the planet. Just annoyed by the whole ending

I personally enjoyed Caprica. It doesn't have a great start but once you get to episode 5, it becomes much more interesting. With the second half of the season, the show was taken over by another producer who really understood what it should be about. That comes across and it's just as good as Galactica, but very different.

And even though the show was cancelled, I think they either expected it or went back and shot a new ending because they tie up just about all the plot threads, so there's nothing left hanging.

As for the BSG finale. [sp]Have you been on a long flight and been glad to get off the plane once it's landed? Imagine living that way for four years with the constant threat of death hanging over your head. When they finally reach Earth, I can completely understand why they want to give up living in those ships and using technology. Relying on technology all the time is what created the Cylons in the first place.

As for the Raptors and Vipers being on Earth. These ships were designed to be flown manually. They can't really be returned to the fleet without someone flying up there and staying behind.

But their lifespan is going to be very limited, once they run out of fuel they can't really go anywhere.[/sp]

    I think i'll give Caprica a shot,

and I understand all your reasons about the Finale, but i still feel slightly cheated.

It wasn't so much abandoning the technology that bothered me. I couldn't quite put my finger on why I felt kinda meh about it. I think part of it was the rushed feeling. The previous couple of episodes was almost all mololouges when much of that information should of been part of the character development throughout season 4. It felt like the show, which was more character centric, degraded into mostly world building exposition.

I agree with Worf about the finale.
