    I've heard that too, but I find it very hard to believe. The idea that if they had a nuke in a major city and are just sitting on it just doesn't sound like the sort of restraint they'd be capable of. I may of course be wrong....but as long as its not Newcastle I'll be slightly happier about being wrong!

    I thought I'd feel more when he was killed. Having lived in NYC on 9/11. Having been at the wtc every day for 3 years.. but honestly I don't feel much about it yet.

    It is a form of justice, but that is about it. Bin Laden had effectively become irrelevant some time ago with the US basically winning the war against Bin Laden's version of Al-Qaida some time ago. At this point killing him off does little to change the situation as the "global terrorism" threat now takes the form of smaller, Al-Qaida franchises that are more independent, harder to track and generally less effective. It remains to be seen if the loss of the spiritual leader will cause these groups to begin to diminish over time.
