The BBC have started showing a new scifi series about people building a colony on another planet.

The first two episodes have already aired this week, episode three is next monday. So far it's been pretty good.

And there's a familiar face from Galactica.

Anyone else watching it?

    Ive not watched the 2nd episode yet, I've been reasonably impressed with it so far. Bit disappointed Jamie Bamber isn't in more than just the one episode tho, but it seems to be pretty intelligently written so far anyway

    Watched the 1st two and I too was annoyed when Jamie B went out so soon. To be honest I thought it was ok, nothing special. Didn't see the 3rd one yesterday and wasn't that bothered I missed it.

    Jamie Bamber -- the man also known as frakkin' Lee Adama -- will star in 'Battlestar Galactica' boss Ron Moore's new magical-world-based police drama, '17th Precinct.'

    This pilot just went from intriguing to must-see TV.

    According to TVLine, Bamber will play Caolan, "an extremely focused crime scene detective."

    '17th Precinct' is set in the fictional city of Excelsior, a place where magic and the supernatural rule over science.

    The other announced cast member of the NBC pilot is former 'The West Wing' star Stockard Channing. She'll play Mira, a former homicide detective who now works the robbery beat.

    After 'Battlestar Galactica' ended, Bamber guest starred on the short-lived 'Dollhouse' and headlined 'Law & Order: U.K.'
