Dell laptops

Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
Anyone got any experience with them? Keyboard and built quality wise..

Thinking of getting a customised Studio 15 XPS notebook later this year, if manage to get a job or move to singapore. Just want to be sure that the keyboard doesnt suck like in my fujitsu, and that its decent built.

Asus is something I would ofcourse think about as well, but managed to get a decent medium range gaming laptop from Dell for about 900 euros.. Which is about 600-700 cheaper from the "cheapest" 15 inch gaming laptops I've seen from asus. Ofcourse, could prolly get that 600-700 euros cheaper if I went to Taipei to buy from there...

Still, the question stands. Are dell laptops any good?

Yeah, they aren't half bad. I think the build quality of their laptop exceeds their desktops by leaps and bounds. Some of the newer ones have some nice features and personally I like the Dell Financing no interest for a year.

google Dell epp, (employee purchase program) and look at the prices you can get from them. Might be able to save a few bucks. If it asks for a code use ps50512027

I"ve been using Dell laptops for a while now, I've currently got a 4 year old Inspirion that is still ticking away damn nicely, also have a Dell Netbook that works quite well,

Just purchased a new dell zino mini to use as a cashregister at work too, and that one has been great so far.

The build quality of the cheap Dells tends to be creaky (literally), but the rest of them typically have good build quality.

If you're moving to Singapore, wait till you get there before buying. They have the same sorts of huge, cheap computer markets that you find in HK and Taipei.

Biggles, that's what I'm planning on. I got my asus netbook for about 190 euros in taipei, new.. and the same unit would cost about 300 euros in ireland/finland..
