    I have to somewhat defend WB here: I don't own any one-hour TV Show DVDs where there're not at least 4 Episode per DVD.

    When encoded for video, DVDs have a certain running time and no matter how much you try to compress the video, you can't fit more on.

    Farscape is an exception to this rule, with two episodes per disc. (I can't say this applies to the "starburst edition", as I bought my copies prior to those releases.)

    Even then, there are shows that are even older than B5 that are 4 eps to a disc that don't have this problem. (MacGyver anyone?) However, to be fair, the artifacts aren't a prevalent once you get past the second season.
