If someone's trying to be funny, he or she is bound to offend somebody somewhere. BBT survived 5 seasons without those who didn't watch it, which includes myself, so I don't worry too much about its future. :)
The bottom line is that it does not matter whether we like the show or not. Somebody who has a say in its continued survival likes it enough for it to go on and that's good enough for me. I'm just glad to see it happen but I do reserve myself the right to change my mind. ;)
BBT is becoming it's own monster, even beating out American Idol head to head last week, crazy. Personally, I love the show, and any nerdy TV that also get my wife to laugh along is welcome...
I'm no doctor but it seems to me that Sheldon appears to suffer from some kind of Asperger's syndrome which is a mild form of autism. Not sure if this portrayal was intentional or not.
