    Huh, I thought Bush was the one who did that? The budget was balanced at the end of the Clinton administration.

    Side note: I wish I knew which study this came from, but these are the only numbers that I heard for economics.

    Amount of money that reenters the economy for every $1 of tax cuts: $1.01
    Amount of money that reenters the economy for every $1 spent on infrastructure projects: $1.50

    If you ask me, in a recession I would much rather have the government spend money building bridges and high speed rail than cutting taxes.
