Dr. Who episode the Deadly Assassin was the first time I saw a plot with a person being stuck inside a computer. Tron and Matrix I think ripped off Dr. Who.
Stargate SG-1 did it twice! :P
I think Star Trek does it every time someone uses a transporter with the difference that the system isn't out there to kill you. ;)
RubberEagleWhat's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?

Yeah, in Star Trek it's always that damned holodeck! :D
Been re-watching B5 recently, and I just noticed something. Remember the episode in season 4, where that ISN crew shows up to do a piece on the station? That scene where Randall sneaks into the cryo storage area in Medlab, look carefully at the names. One of them is Flynn! :D

Good Catch!
Been planing on doing a re-watch as well, but I am trying to get together group marathons for it. We are planning on about a half season per day on days we can all get together. We are up to seven people, (Two of which are B5 virgins) but balancing 7 schedules is difficult.
Soul Hunter was slow paced but it wasn't bad by anymeans, its an important episode to understand the universe a bit better. I mean, watching Delenn go berserk is totally random, and then the "She is Satai" bit is important for the Sinclair arc.
Grey 17 was boring more than bad, although I agree, the Zarg is terrible. TKO is just universally terrible :P aside from the B story.
Which part of the GROPOS A story do you consider stupid? As far as I recall it's about an infantry woman trying to live a little before she dies and Garibaldi is involved. I didn't find that stupid at all. The Air Force vs. Marines tussles maybe?
Honestly, Gropos wasn't that bad. Not only was it essential for Franklin's growth, but it set up part of "Severed Dreams" by giving B5 a fighting chance to survive a real military engagement. It also gave us a brief glimpse into Keffer's character, just before he got killed off in a later episode.
But yes, TKO was pretty bad too. Soul Hunter was nothing more than an insult to Mr. Sheppard's career. That was just a bad episode all around, especially considering that nothing new was revealed at that point, to the viewer.
The "Marines" and I use that term lightly, were very poorly written and portrayed. It was absolutely awful. Some of the dialog from the chick Garibaldi was trying to bang was some of the worst shit Ive ever heard from an actor trying to be a military person.
And yes, the pilot vs ground pounder fight was overly ridiculous.
ShadowDancerWhen I say, "Why aye, gadgie," in my heart I say, "Och aye, laddie."London, UK
GROPOS I can live with, but TKO had virtually no redeaming qualities IMHO

OMG we're having a B5 discussion!! How long since that last happened! :p
Sigh, yes, I am friends with such people. I did not know this when I befriended them. Now I must correct the error.
Yeah, I liked the Soul Hunter. It also begins the insight into Delen's true position. Grey 17 it just meh to me rather than bad. If we skip anything it will be anything not related to Ivonova in TKO.
However, I wish to give them the full experience, so nothing will be skipped. Not even Legend of the Rangers.

And you know, I just thought of something about how the marines were portrayed. Remember how those three wanted to "teach Delenn a lesson" over her appearance? That was another subtle hint of what was going on "back home" with Clark and his groupies. Yeah, the bar fight was over the top, though I suppose "getting to know" a few of them did serve to point out one thing: War is hell, and no matter how good you are, you still have a chance of not making it back.

Ugh, you really want to torture your friends don't you? Legend of the Rangers was utter garbage all around. The only saving grace for that POS was the few lines of dialogue G'Kar got.
Hey, I missed the B5 discussion. How can you all talk about bad moments or episodes of B5 and not mention "Grail"? That was just a terrible episode, mostly because of Jinxo, who is one of the worst actors I've ever seen in my life.
"Hey! Deuce is gonna kill me! But do I look worried? No siree! I just say turn that frown upside down! Golly!"
Or did you all just block that episode from your mind?
I liked the Shivah stuff in "TKO", but the Mu Tai stuff was just embarassing (and now that I have actual martial arts experience... yeah, I don't like those parts), and I have to say that the Minbari stuff in "Grey 17 is Missing" wasn't bad.
I have to admit that I've never bought Legend of the Rangers. I just don't really see a reason to, especially since there aren't any extras on it. And are you going to show them The Lost Tales? I prefer to think that never happened and these are just fan fictions on film.
Oh yeah, and I'm going to see Tron Legacy tomorrow, and I've still never seen the original!
Tron was great, although I think Spoiler: Tron needed to make a few more appearances, other than as his bad version. That flashback scene during the coup he kicked lots of ass.
As far as B5 goes, Lost Tales was better than Legend of the Rangers. LotR didn't even feel like B5 to me, whereas Lost Tales, even with its much smaller budget, felt like B5.
You need IMDB to tell you that? Any serious geek knows the name of the program is Clu....
That's because he's Clu-less! :D

Yeah, how surprising... but we could go on about spelling exotic car brands correctly. :D
