Heroes Season 4 finale

Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
It's coming out next week. To be honest.. I think this has been the weakest season ever. Not that the last two were much better.

Biggest faults for me, has been the villains.. Kensei from season 2 was good, but not used properly.. Papa Petrelli could've been good as well, but hardly used.. Samuel the Carnie was kind of pointless, and has been over used.

Screw that..

Anyway. I'm waiting with dread what happens.

My predictions?

1. Edgar kills Samuel

2. Nothing will really change.

3. I'm not quite sure. I've hardly watched the last 10+ episodes. It's like there's been a lot of happening but nothing going on.

And.. how I would end this season?

Let Samuel kill the people, and be killed by peter and sylar in the end. Pulled apart or something.

In the end, the mutants become public knowledge and the new season will start few years later, with most of the old "stars" forgotten or moved on. HRG working for the goverment (if he survives) and training the mutants, Ando being the japanese mutants attache to usa etc.. Mutant Cold Wars with the russians and so on.. Return of Kensei as some messianic first mutant type figure, which could turn out to be faked out by some more sinister character, who kills Hiro. Throw in foreing mutant terrorists and that should be nice.

Ofcourse.. They could just cancel the whole thing. They've ran out of steam ages ago.

The writers can't seem to make up their mind what to do with Samuel. Sometimes it seems like he wants to do something really good, he's just a big misguided, then the next episode they make him evil for the sake of evilness.

I actually found the former more interesting, the idea of of a safe haven for those with powers to live and be themselves.

These last few episodes, I've noticed Claire has become a lot less annoying, that I consider to be one of the highlights of the season.

As far as past seasons go, I maintain that the second started badly, ended well. Three started excellently but then they slowed down to a crawl and it didn't get better.

What they need to do is have much shorter story arcs, maybe three to four episodes. That way they can keep up a decent pace and not have to drag out a story just to fill the episode count.
  • season 1 was still the best. :)

I remember watching season 1 and most of season 2, thinking that almost every episode had the feeling of a season finale of any other show. 3 and 4 have been a borefest in comparison.
