Freespace Fuck Yea!

Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
Just bought and downloaded the first game from Gog.com.. Felt like playing it over and not waiting to get to Finland to get my copy of the game.. but hey, it was just 5 dollah.. petty change on pay day. That's like.. less than a pint.

I guess I should get the updated graphics for it now while I'm at it.. before start playing..

Man.. I'm still getting goosebumps from the cinematics in that game.. And I have vivid memories of playing it for the first time, not fully knowing what was coming and having then firsthand experience with the shivans. I think I managed to actually shoot down one of the fighters, even though it was hard as fucking hell without the proper new equipment..

    Buy them both. :D

Apparently can't get any higher quality graphics for the first game, without losing some of the ambience.. so I'm playing it in the original 640x480 quality. I thought it looked and felt pretty good then, no doubt it would still feel good now.

I've only played freespace 2, but it was awesome. Some epic moments in it.
  • I've been playing the Beyond the Red Line demo based on BSG... using the FS2 engine... pretty sweet!
